Follow easy steps for luscious and kissable lips and get
ready to pucker for a great night out!
For dark or vivid lipstick, use a lip brush so that lips
are more defined.
Coat lip brush evenly with color. Beginning at the center
of each lip, work your way out towards corners of the mouth.
Keep brush flat against lips to get clean edges and even
color.
To matte down shiny lipstick and help color last, blot
lips with a tissue and apply a second coat of color.
For powder-blotting, separate a two-ply tissue, rest one
layer over lips then dust on a little loose powder.
To achieve fuller-looking lips, a dab of lip gloss in
the center of your finished lips will do the trick, adding
a glamorous effect. Shinier textures make lips fuller while
matte textures diminish their size.
Opening mouth slightly to stretch lips taut will help
achieve a smooth application.
If chapping is a perpetual problem, avoid matte or long-lasting
lipsticks. They tend to dry out lips. Alternatively, use
a lip balm before applying lip color. It might also help
to exfoliate dry, chapped or peeling lips and moisturize
with lip balm before applying lipstick. This will help lip
color glide on smoothly.
